It seems that El Greco to Velazquez fever has struck the Triangle.  The North Carolina Symphony‘s website has a great post about  Music Director Grant Llewellyn’s experience at a recent Spanish tapas cooking class at A Southern Season in Chapel Hill, which also featured a presentation by Nasher Museum Chief Curator Sarah Schroth.  Likewise, kicking off tomorrow, October 2nd, the North Carolina Symphony is partnering with the Nasher in a Spanish Music Festival, a series of concerts celebrating classical music with a Spanish twist, and presenting a new co-commissioned work by composer Stephen Jaffe.  Click here to read the cooking class post and see some great photos of the event.  Click here to learn more about the upcoming concerts, running from October 2-10.
