Dozens of readers have posted comments to an item in Arts Beat, a blog of The New York Times. The post reprints excerpts of an open letter from three prominent alumni of Brandeis University: Kimerly Rorschach, director of Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University; Adam D. Weinberg, director of the Whitney Museum of American Art; and Gary Tinterow, chairman of the department of 19th-century, modern and contemporary art at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
