Blog / Dario Robleto Meets Yo La Tengo: Update

Posted

By Teka

Rumor has it that Yo La Tengo is having a a “listening party” at D’Amelio Terras Gallery in Chelsea the evening of Sept 8th, 7-9:30pm with both artist Dario Robleto and the band.

As Wendy wrote a few days ago, Robleto (whose work is featured in the upcoming Nasher show The Record) created the works reproduced on the front and back cover of Yo La Tengo’s new album, Popular Songs, scheduled for release on September 8th.  The work on the back cover is in The Record along with 3 other fantastic works.

If you happen to be in New York next weekend, check out the listening party and then tell us all about it!  Or, you could just listen to Popular Songs streaming on NPR.  And click here for more info on what Dario Robleto has been up to lately.

P.S.  Since I posted this morning, Pitchfork.com has posted a great interview with Dario about the album project that links to Wendy’s excellent piece from a few days ago.
