Turns out that there’s no need to settle for streaming Yo La Tengo’s new album, Popular Songs, on-line. The band, who are in a mutual fan club with artist Dario Robleto, will perform live and in-person this Friday, 9/18 at 8pm at the Carolina Theater. Tickets are still available at a very reasonable $20-23. For more info, check the Carolina Theater’s website.
So, here’s a plan for this Friday: why not come out to meet Satch Hoyt at Liberty Arts, and then wander over to the Carolina to see Yo La Tengo? And then there’s also all of the Third Friday goodness happening in Durham this week. So much to do, so little time…
