In Venice this week, Trevor and Kim visited the Palazzo Grassi and the Dogana, two incredible contemporary art spaces owned by Francois Pinault. They were taken in by the Joana Vasconcelos installation in the central atrium of the Palazzo Grassi, climbing up walls.
Trevor’s notes: “It’s a new commission for the space. The artist is from Portugal, and one I worked with in 2006 for ‘The Beautiful Game.’ ”

Nasher Museum Director Kim Rorschach and Trevor Schoonmaker, curator of contemporary art, are at the Venice Biennale. Through quick iPhone communiques, they share exciting works of art and installations around Venice that have caught their attention.
