Picasso Baby

About a month ago, rapper Jay Z performed a cut from his most recent album Magna Carta Holy Grail at Pace Gallery in New York City.

For six hours.

After the footage was compiled, the result is less of a music video for Picasso Baby and more of what Hov is billing as a “performance art film.”  And while the art world probably won’t be heralding Mr. Carter as the best performance artist alive, the short film is a delightfully real performance. Keep an eye out for Jay Z getting derailed from his flow by an art dealer and for some of the artists we have hosted in the past. Oh, and Picasso’s granddaughter.
