LIVE SPANISH MUSIC / Saturday, December 27, Noon / Enjoy Spanish guitar music from the 16th century to the present, while visiting the Miró exhibition, dining in the museum café, or shopping in the store. Dennis Aberle, who has studied flamenco guitar and song accompaniment in Sevilla, Spain, will play in the museum’s Great Hall. Brunch seating in the café may be reserved online or by calling 919-684-6032.

FERDINAND THE BULL / Tuesday, December 30, 10:30 AM / Hear readings in English and Spanish of The Story of Ferdinand written by Murno Leaf and illustrated by Robert Lawson. Before a related hands on activity, see the 1938 Disney animated short film Ferdinand the Bull. Recommended for children ages 3-6 and their caregivers.

Dario Robleto
Congratulations to artist Dario Robleto, whose work inspired by the human heart was featured recently in The New York Times.

His exhibition, “The Boundary of Life Is Quietly Crossed,” is on view at the Menil Collection in Houston through Jan. 4. His work is part of the Nasher Museum’s permanent collection

Araiadne in the Grotesque Labyrinth

To accompany the exhibition Miró, the museum is hosts book discussions featuring contemporary Catalan authors. January's selection is Ariadne in the Grotesque Labyrinth by Salvador Espriu.

Sunday, January 11, 2 PM, and Wednesday, January 14, 11 AM, at the Nasher Museum. Visitors are encouraged to read the book prior to the discussions. The book is available for purchase in the Nasher Museum Store.
