MY MIRÓ INSPIRATION: THE EXPERIENCE OF SEEING IN GARDENS AND ART / Friday, January 16, 2 - 5 PM / Join the Nasher Museum and Sarah P. Duke Gardens for a special craft workshop inspired by Miró: The Experience of Seeing. Begin at the Nasher Museum with a tour of Miró by Marshall N. Price. Then walk to Duke Gardens for a workshop to create your own botanical “sculpture.” Fee includes materials and ticket to Miró: $20; Gardens members and seniors $16; $10 Duke staff/faculty; $6 Duke students. ANNUAL SEMANS LECTURE: MATTHEW GALE / Thursday, January 22, 7 PM / The Nasher Museum welcomes Matthew Gale, Curator (Modern Art) and Head of Displays at Tate Modern in London. He will deliver the Annual Semans Lecture on Joan Miró in the lecture hall. Free and open to all. Please allow additional time for parking. Reception with cash bar to follow.

Ariadne in the Grotesque Labyrinth

To accompany the exhibition Miró, the museum hosts book discussions featuring contemporary Catalan authors. January's selection is Ariadne in the Grotesque Labyrinth by Salvador Espriu.

Wednesday, January 14, 11 AM, at the Nasher Museum. Visitors are encouraged to read the book prior to the discussions. The book is available for purchase in the Nasher Museum Store.
