Just in time for national Record Store Day the exhibition “The Record: Contemporary Art and Vinyl” opened at the Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (April 15). Clearly the city of Boston has embraced the first exhibition devoted to the culture of vinyl records in contemporary art!
The New York Times gave the exhibition a nod in Sunday’s paper.
The Boston Globe’s Sebastian Smee said the exhibition “spins magic and substance.”
Geoff Edgers, filmmaker and arts writer at The Boston Globe calls the exhibition “really intriguing” in his video, and interviews several artists for his accompanying story.
