The Beast performs at the Nasher Museum

Wednesday was my third day as an intern at the Nasher Museum and I had the pleasure of experiencing part of the Reflections program, which provides engaging museum tours for visitors that live with memory loss, as well as their families and care partners. These tours are led by Jessica Ruhle, associate curator of education, and involve discussions, tours of the galleries, music and hands-on experiences. For today’s experience, The Beast, a local indie hip hop/progressive jazz band, played some great music for the visitors in the gallery and gave them a history of African American music.
