Ben Bridgers

Nasher Creates: Sketching in the Galleries - 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Artist Ben Bridgers will present a brief lesson and demonstration of various ways to respond to visual art by creating your own sketches. Then you can try it out in the galleries! The Nasher Museum will provide drawing materials. You are welcome to bring your own, but please note that pens, charcoal and wet media are not permitted in the galleries. The program is free with admission. General museum admission is $5 for adults.

 

All summer, enjoy Summer Days Nasher Nights,  featuring an art mystery film series, beer tastings and art trivia, drop-in craft sessions with local artists, live music at brunch, wine tastings paired with curator chats, theme dinners in the café, public tours and more, every Thursday evening and on occasional Sunday afternoons. Art with the Experts: Renaissance and Baroque Art from the Nasher Museum - 7:00 PM

Join Nasher Museum staff Sarah Schroth, Mary D.B.T. and James H. Seamans Director, and Molly Boarati, Assistant Curator, for a discussion and slide lecture on The New Galleries: A Collection Come to Light. This exhibition is a comprehensive and dynamic reinstallation of the museum’s permanent collection. Eight new galleries will be dedicated to specific collection areas. Schroth and Boarati will share highlights from the European Art, c. 1400-1900 section, focusing on the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
