New Bicycle Tours: Downtown Durham Murals - 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Explore the beautiful murals of downtown Durham with tours co-organized by Preservation Durham, the Museum of Durham History and the Nasher Museum. The tours include about 13 murals, including a mural by Odili Donald Odita, commissioned by the Nasher Museum, at the Downtown Durham YMCA.

 

Fourth Saturdays, May through November. 90-minute tours led by volunteer tour leaders. Depart at 10 AM from Durham Farmers Market. Please check in 15 minutes early. All skill levels welcome. Bring your own bicycle! Helmets required. Free and open to the public.

Incubator Exhibition Opening: Burk Uzzle: Southern Landscapes - 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

The Nasher Museum presents Burk Uzzle: Southern Landscapes, an exhibition of 16 photographs exploring rural life in this region and how southerners have engaged with the landscape over time. This exhibition is part of a collaboration between the Nasher Museum, the Ackland Art Museum at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the North Carolina Museum of Art. Uzzle will give a gallery talk at the Nasher Museum on June 2.
