Sketching in the Galleries

Nasher Creates: Sketching in the Galleries - 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

A local art teacher will present a brief lesson and demonstration of various ways to respond to visual art by creating your own sketches. Then you can try it out in the galleries! The Nasher Museum will provide drawing materials. You are welcome to bring your own, but please note that pens, charcoal and wet media are not permitted in the galleries. The program is free with admission. General museum admission is $5 for adults.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Nasher Reads: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - 2:00 PM

To accompany the exhibition Colour Correction: British and American Screenprints, 1967-75, the museum is hosting two book discussions on Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson.

 

Nasher Museum Gallery Guides Ruth Caccavale and Carole Mathison will lead the conversations.  

 

Discussion will be repeated on Sunday afternoon.  Visitors are encouraged to read the book prior to the discussions.  Books are available for purchase in the Nasher Museum

Free Family Day - 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Free Family Days take place on select Sundays from 12-4 PM.  On these days families visiting the museum enjoy live entertainment, create hands-on projects and explore exhibitions with a gallery hunt.  Materials will be available in English and Spanish.

 

Live Performances at 1 PM and 2:30 PM.

 

Admission to the museum is free on Family Days.
