Nasher Reads: Fun Home - 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM

The museum is hosting two book discussions on Fun Home by Alison Bechdel. Visitors are encouraged to read the book prior to the discussions. Books are available for purchase in the Nasher Museum Store.

 

All summer, enjoy Summer Days Nasher Nights,  featuring an art mystery film series, beer tastings and art trivia, drop-in craft sessions with local artists, live music at brunch, wine tastings paired with curator chats, theme dinners in the café, public tours and more, every Thursday evening and on occasional Sunday afternoons. Art with the Experts: Contemporary Art from the Nasher Museum - 7:00 PM

Join Nasher Museum staff Trevor Schoonmaker, Chief Curator and Patsy R. and Raymond D. Nasher Curator of Contemporary Art, and Jessica Kay Ruhle, for a discussion and slide lecture on Reality of My Surroundings: The Contemporary Collection. In celebration of the museum’s 10th anniversary, this exhibition presents some of the Nasher Museum’s most significant works from the contemporary collection. Reality of My Surroundings demonstrates the museum’s ongoing commitment to collecting work by global artists, with an emphasis on artists of African descent.
