Seeking: Undergrads, Graduate students, and Professional students
The NSAB DOES the following:
- plans one large party each semester
- plans smaller, more casual, Art for All events approximately once a month
- partners with other student organizations on campus and at nearby
- colleges/universities to spread the art love around
The NSAB does NOT plan or select exhibitions for the museum.
Mission Statement:
The Nasher Student Advisory Board (NSAB) of the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University serves as the student voice of and for the museum. The NSAB acts as a bridge between the widely diverse student body and the Nasher at Duke. The NSAB fosters student ownership of the museum, advises museum staff on effective ways to engage the student body, and is proactive in promoting the museum throughout the Duke community and beyond.
PLEASE NOTE: Membership in the NSAB requires a significant time commitment to attend weekly meetings, plan programs and staff programs/events. Members spend time outside of weekly meetings (2-4 hrs. per week) to plan and promote events. Attendance at monthly events is also required.

Please turn in a hardcopy of your application to the Nasher Museum Information Desk before 5 PM, Friday, March 4, 2011.
Volunteer
Please join the nasher-volunteers e-mail listserv to receive updates on volunteer opportunities. Simply send an e-mail to sympa@duke.edu with "subscribe nasher-volunteers" in the body (not the subject) of the e-mail (without the quotation marks).
Volunteer requests will be handled exclusively via e-mail.
Volunteer opportunities are open to those 16 years old and older.
Other volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to:
- Helping children with craft projects during Family Days
- Representing the museum at local festivals and fairs
- Stuffing envelopes
- Data Entry
- Miscellaneous office support
When volunteers are needed, announcements will be made via e-mail through the listserv and you will be asked to directly contact the appropriate staff member.
