All events are free with admission and open to all, taking place in the Nasher Museum’s main lecture hall, the Nancy A. Nasher and David J. Haemisegger Family Lecture Hall, unless otherwise noted. Film series are free and co-sponsored by Duke's Program in the Arts of the Moving Image and Duke University Libraries.

"The Triptych" Film Screening

A screening of The Triptych, a short-film series (Director Terence Nance, Director of Photography Shawn Peters, Co-Director Barron Claiborne), a documentary by Afropunk that highlights the work of artists Wangechi Mutu, Sanford Biggers and Barron Claiborne, will follow Stiles' talk. 5:30 PM Cash Bar, 6 PM Gallery Talk with Kristine Stiles, 7 PM Film Screening. Free and open to the public.
Family Day

Family Days take place on select Sundays from 12-4 PM. On these days families visiting the museum enjoy live entertainment, create hands-on projects and explore exhibitions with a gallery hunt.

This exhibition includes more than 100 works drawn from leading North Carolina collections, both public and private, assembled through the dedication and vision unique to each individual collector ranging from tiny early daguerreotypes to large-scale contemporary color prints.

Sketching in the Galleries

Following a brief drawing warm-up activity, visitors can practice sketching artwork around the museum. Paper and drawing utensils will be supplied. Pens and wet media are not permitted in the Nasher Museum galleries.

General admission is always free on Thursdays, 5-9 PM. This week's event is a Wine Tasting in the Great Hall. Tasting pass ($5) available for purchase on site.
