Welcome to our second issue of Five Cubes, a quarterly e-magazine publication created especially for the Duke Community.

When you are back on campus this fall, I want you to visit your art museum! We are extremely proud to present Miró: The Experience of Seeing, an exhilarating exhibition of works by Spanish-born artist Joan Miró, one of the great masters of 20th-century art. This is the only East Coast venue for our special ticketed exhibition. It’s also the first-ever presentation of the final 20 years of Miró’s career.

We’re pleased to offer discounted tickets to members of the Duke community─and Duke students always attend for free. While there, you can also see the phenomenal show, Rauschenberg: Collecting & Connecting.

Meanwhile, I invite you to peruse Five Cubes, five fresh stories that take you into the five gallery pavilions of the Nasher Museum. I hope you enjoy reading about the museum’s engagement with Duke students, faculty, parents, alumni and the greater community. Our success depends on all of you!

Sincerely,

Sarah Schroth
