Tickets go on sale online September 14, 2014, at Duke University Box Office, and in person by visiting the Nasher Museum.

    Members: 2 free tickets per adult member (additional tickets for 10% discount)
    Adults: $12
    Children 7 - 17: $6 / Children 6 and under: FREE
    Senior Citizens: $10
    Duke Faculty/Staff: $6 (limit 1 ticket per ID)
    Duke University students: FREE (limit 1 ticket per ID)
    Non-Duke Students: $8 (limit 1 ticket per ID)
    Duke Alumni Association members with I.D.: $6
    Active Duty Military and families (limit 6 tickets): $6

Everyone entering the exhibition, including FREE admission, must have a ticket.
Duke students may receive one free ticket with student ID per day for entry on the same day.
Redeem in person at the Nasher Museum. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.

GENERAL PARKING

The museum’s 100-space public parking lot, east of the building, is accessible from either Campus Drive or Duke University Road. Parking at the museum is $2 per hour, payable at kiosks in the museum lot. The winding stepped path from the parking lot to the main entrance is about 100 yards.

HANDICAPPED PARKING

Visitors may be dropped off at the 700 Anderson Street entrance, where three handicapped parking spots are available. The museum’s lower parking lot has eight handicapped parking spots. For assistance or more information please call 919-684-5135.

FROM RALEIGH AND THE EAST
This route is via Interstate 40 West: Take exit 279B to N.C. State Route 147 North, Durham Freeway. Continue on Durham Freeway and take Exit 14, Swift Avenue. Turn LEFT onto Swift Avenue. Continue for about one quarter mile to Campus Drive. Turn RIGHT onto Campus Drive. One block after Oregon Street, turn LEFT into the museum parking lot.

FROM CHAPEL HILL AND THE SOUTH
This route is via Chapel Hill Boulevard, US. 15-501 North. In Durham, take U.S. 15-501 North, marked Duke University/Medical Center (Do not take 15-501 Business). Continue on 15-501 and take Exit 107, marked N.C. State Route 751/Duke University West Campus. Turn RIGHT onto N.C. 751, and continue for about one mile. At the third traffic light, Duke University Road, turn LEFT. Continue on Duke University Road for about 8/10th of a mile, cross Anderson Street and make a LEFT turn into the museum parking lot.

FROM VIRGINIA AND THE NORTH
This route is via Interstate 85 South: In Durham, take Exit 174A for US 15-501 South Bypass – Duke University/Chapel Hill. Continue on U.S. 15-501 and take Exit 107, marked N.C. State Route 751/Duke University West Campus. Turn LEFT onto N.C. 751 and continue for about 1 mile. At the fourth traffic light, Duke University Road, turn LEFT. Continue on Duke University Road for about 8/10th of a mile, cross Anderson Street and make a LEFT turn into the museum parking lot.

FROM CHARLOTTE, THE TRIAD AND THE WEST
This route is via Interstate 85 North: In Durham, take Exit 172, N.C. State Route 147, Durham Freeway. Continue on Durham Freeway and take Exit 14, Swift Avenue. Turn RIGHT onto Swift Avenue. Continue for about one quarter mile to Campus Drive. Turn RIGHT onto Campus Drive. One block after Oregon Street, turn LEFT into the museum parking lot.

GPS DIRECTIONS
For GPS navigation systems and on-line maps, use 650 Alexander Avenue, Durham, NC 27705. For handicap parking and passenger drop-off, use 700 Anderson Street, Durham, NC 27705 and use the driveway at the front of the museum for access.

Public Tours

Take a public guided tour to find out why Miró was one of the greatest innovators of 20th-century art.
Individuals, or groups of fewer than 10 people, may purchase tickets for a public guided tour of the exhibition.

Public guided tours are offered Thursdays at 6 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Tours last approximately one hour.
To purchase tour tickets, visit the museum front desk. Space is limited.

Tour prices include the price of admission to the exhibition. Prices include admission to all exhibitions at the museum.

    $16 per person for adults
    $14 per person for seniors
    $12 for non-Duke students with student ID
    $4 per person for Nasher Museum members
    $4 per person for Duke Students with student ID

 

Guided Group Tours

Guided adult tours for Miró: The Experience of Seeing are available to groups of 10 to 30 people.
Guided tour tickets prices include admission to all exhibitions at the museum:

    $16 per person for adults
    $14 per person for seniors

Scheduling is based on availability. Request a guided group tour.

K-12 Guided Tours

Recommended for grades K-12
Available: September 30, 2014 - February 20, 2015

Guided tours last 60 minutes for K-12 school groups. On their tour, students will discuss selected works in the Miró: The Experience of Seeing exhibition. Guided tours engage students in discussions about the artwork on view while encouraging critical thinking and the development of higher-order processing skills.

Guided visits must be scheduled in advance. Before requesting a K-12 Guided Tour, please check this calendar for tour availability.
Tour times listed on the calendar are currently available for the number of students listed in parenthesis. This calendar will be updated as often as possible, but it does not reflect a “real-time” schedule of K-12 tour reservations.

K-12 Self-Guided Tours

Self-guided groups or teacher-led school tours are permitted in all of our galleries. Admission fees apply for self-guided groups visiting the exhibition.   
Admission is $12 for adults and $6 for students ages 7-17.

We highly recommend that educators preview exhibitions prior to the student visit to assure the content in each gallery is age appropriate.

 

K-12 Educator Open House

Tuesday, September 23 from 4-7 PM

Attend this FREE event for educators to tour the exhibition Miró: The Experience of Seeing. The program will begin with a presentation about the exhibition. Participants will then explore independently and enjoy a reception. Participants will also receive partial CEU credit and interdisciplinary curriculum-based materials to use in the classroom.

Duke Class Visits

Duke classes that prearrange a visit to Miró: The Experience of Seeing will be admitted free of charge. University classes from other institutions that schedule a visit will pay the regular student rate of $6 per student and the discounted rate of $6 for accompanying instructors.
