An Evening of Art Therapy with Lamar Whidbee

Join artist and licensed clinical mental health counselor Lamar Whidbee for an evening centered on mindfulness, reflection and art making. Together, we will explore many of the themes in the exhibition Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons: Behold and how these themes come up in our everyday lives. Art supplies and light snacks will be provided.
About Lamar Whidbee
Meet Lamar Whidbee, a compassionate licensed clinical mental health counselor with a passion for helping others overcome mental health challenges. Lamar holds a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from North Carolina State University and a Master of Fine Arts degree from UNC Chapel Hill. His education has given him a deep appreciation for the power of creativity and self-expression in healing. His counseling approach is versatile and creative, utilizing virtual sessions and unconventional methods like exploring art in museums to foster introspection and breakthroughs.
