Join Mara Shurgot for “Creative Writing in the Galleries: Art and Your Imagination,” three consecutive creative writing workshops (Saturdays, May 5, 12 and 19). Beginners and experienced authors alike will find inspiration from the exhibition Solidary & Solitary.

Using prompts, explore elements ranging from plot and character to setting and dialogue in a dynamic interplay between art and your imagination. Writing materials provided. Ink pens are not allowed in the galleries. Series fee (includes museum admission): $40. Museum members and Durham Public Schools classroom teachers: $25.
