Today is the last day to register for The Nature of Art and the Art of Nature: Connecting Visual Arts and Natural Science, a two-day workshop on Thursday, June 28, and Friday, June 29, 9 AM – 4 PM, at the Sarah P. Duke Gardens. Register now!

School is out for the summer and it is time to start making some summer plans! Find ways to integrate science curriculum with the arts, imagine innovative ways to sharpen students’ observation and data collection skills, and discover new educational resources for the classroom at two of Duke’s community resources! Explore the intersection of art and science in this two-day hands-on workshop offered by Sarah P. Duke Gardens and the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University. Open to all K-12 teachers.

At the workshop, teachers will:

-explore hands-on art and science activities

-practice cognitive skills in science and art

-receive lessons and activities to use in the classroom

-receive partial CEU credit (1.2 CEUs)
