Join musicians from Duke’s Music Department, who will welcome us into Cosmic Rhythm Vibrations. Students have composed new works, as a response to the exhibition, and will perform in the galleries. The evening includes a mini pop-up display of instruments from the Duke University Musical Instrument Collections.
Stroll through the Nasher Sculpture Garden to the Rubenstein Arts Center to experience “Here to Hear // Here to Hear,” an interactive audio installation by Brooks Frederickson, a Ph.D. candidate in the Music Department. Visitors are invited to sing simple tones and collectively make their own music.
Cash bar at 5:30 PM.
