“Through my movements I attempted to show the impact of COVID on people, the disproportionate handling of the same, and hearts that carry despair and hope at the same time. If we stand in solidarity, we will hold hands again, with more warmth than ever!”  —Tanu Sharma

Join us on YouTube for a video of Tanu Sharma, a dancer based in Cary, who performed her original choreography in response to RESIST COVID / TAKE 6! at the Nasher Museum.

Tanu is one of 12 North Carolina artists selected by the American Dance Festival to perform in front of several installations of this outdoor exhibition created by artist Carrie Mae Weems. This project is the Nasher Museum’s eighth collaboration with the American Dance Festival. Learn more about this collaboration.

Videos of other dance artists in this series will be released each week.
