Explore your artistic side through our informal sketching program held in the galleries on the third Saturday of each month.

This month’s session is led by Durham artist Katie Hyde, director of Literacy Through Photography, a program based at Duke’s Center for Documentary Studies. The program begins with a brief drawing demonstration. Participants then move through the galleries to continue sketching and receive support from the teaching artist.

Free with general museum admission, this event is great for all experience levels! Children ages 8 and up are welcome to attend with an adult.

No registration is required. Pencils only are permissible. Sketching materials are provided, though you are welcome to bring your own.
