Recently, members of our staff, Lee Nisbet, Associate Registrar/Visual Resources Manager and Julia K. McHugh, Ph.D., Trent A. Carmichael Curator of Academic Initiatives, brought ancient Peruvian works of art to Duke University Hospital to be CT scanned by some generous colleagues at Duke Radiology. This technology allows us to safely peek inside the vessels and create 3D models and visualizations! Stay tuned for more about this project, a collaboration with the Wired! Digital Art History lab.
