In commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, join us for a guided tour exploring Tall Tales and Short Stories: Depictions of the American Experience. This tour invites visitors to reflect on how ideas of independence, freedom, and national identity have been represented—and reimagined—over time. By engaging familiar myths alongside lesser‑known histories, this tour and exhibition encourages us to consider whose stories have been centered, whose have been omitted, and how artists help expand and complicate our understanding of the nation at 250 years.
Make reservations at the Nasher Café ahead of time to enjoy dinner after the tour!
