Pat Scott knows that admission is free for Duke staff at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke.
A cool summer mason jar and iced tea refills–Pat knows those are free at the museum, too!
That’s why Pat brought a new colleague, Yvette Jones, to the Nasher Museum Cafe for lunch recently. They both work at Duke in the Smith Warehouse.
“I love my jar,” Pat said, between sips of unsweet tea. “The tea is just fabulous!” Yvette nodded her head in agreement, while sipping her sweet tea.
The Nasher Museum invites Duke employees to stop by the visitor services desk, Tuesday through Friday, between 11 AM and 2 PM, to claim a Summer Days Nasher Nights reusable mason jar. Every time you visit the café this summer, use it for complimentary iced tea.
Pat and Yvette spent their lunch hour at the Nasher Museum and experienced the exhibition Sound Vision: Contemporary Art from the Collection, on view through August 3.
Thursday evenings and weekends are also a great time to visit the museum. Free guided tours are every Thursday at 6 PM. The fifth season of Summer Days Nasher Nights includes new Brew & View beer tasting events and Wine Tastings with hors d’oeuvres samplings. Live and Local Sunday brunches, the Dinner and a Movie series of free films and the popular Guest Chef dinner series are also returning for a great season. Summer is a great time for creative diversions, so visit us for weekly drop-in craft sessions, monthly book discussions and sketching in the galleries.
