Explore your artistic side through an informal sketching program held on the third Saturday of each month. Durham artist Scott Renk leads today’s program, which begins with a brief demonstration of ways to respond to art by drawing.

Participants then move through the galleries to continue sketching. Free with general museum admission (adults $7).

Interested in joining the Nasher Teen Council in the fall? Last October, 12 new members joined the council from high schools across Durham, including City of Medicine Academy, School of Creative Studies, Hillside and Northern. Teens are welcome to gather with current council members to eat pizza, draw and paint, ask questions and hear about their experiences at the museum. Snacks and art materials provided.

This program is FREE but space is limited – be sure to register in advance.
