There’s this transition between the creating of the block and the printing, then when it’s printed that’s it, it’s done. I think drawings, they never feel like they’re finished pieces for me. … I like the idea that there is a transition between the carving part and the printing and then you print it onto good paper and that’s it, it’s gone through this transformation.
