Teachers, join us for a full day workshop where we will reflect on teaching practices and strategies to bring the museum to the classroom and the classroom to the museum. This workshop, which is offered twice on Teacher Workday dates, will help us take a close look at renowned artist Wangechi Mutu and her creative process. Through careful observation of her intricate collages, we will discuss art education and transferrable skills honed through art. We will end the day with artmaking inspired by works in the galleries.

Original resources will be provided along with opportunities to exchange with other teachers in the district. All participating teachers will enjoy lunch from the Nasher Café and receive 1 CEU.

Teachers attending this workshop will receive a stipend to recognize their commitment and dedication to professional development.

Teachers will also receive free registration to attend NCAEA 2023 conference.

Early registration is encouraged. Register for the event here.
