Malcolm X #5

Pioneering sculptor Barbara Chase-Riboud created Malcolm X #5, a 6-foot sculpture of polished bronze and silk, in 2003. For more than 50 years, Chase- Riboud has combined metals with textiles to create imposing works inspired by identity, history and loss. The sculpture is part of an ongoing series, a memorial to the slain civil rights leader Malcolm X. It was a gift from Nigel and Ayodele Hart.
