BLACK ART MATTERS

Congratulations and thank you to NorthStar Church of the Arts for commissioning black artists to paint beautiful and impactful murals on plywood that temporarily covered storefronts in downtown Durham. The murals are being moved near Ninth Street Bakery as storefronts reopen. Donate to black artists.

Artists whose murals are pictured above include Anthony Patterson, Brandon Hampton, Candy Carver, Craig Cutright, Dare Kumolu-Johnson, Derrick Beasley, Jameela Fay Dallis, Kamara Thomas, Kennedi Carter, Kiara Lisbeth, Kimberley Cartwright, Mack Wilson-Leigh, Marcella Camara, Megan Bowser, Megan Elizabeth Sterling, Michelle Gonzalez Green, Nina Oteria, Shante Stewart, Son of Simba, Spirithouse Inc., Taye Beasley, Terri Jones, and Whitney Stanley.
