Thank you, Durham! More than 600 people came to our outdoor party featuring GRAMMY Award-winning producer 9th Wonder and friends. We celebrated Spirit in the Land with pop-up children’s book readings in the galleries, including special guest Alberto Barrantes, an author visiting from Costa Rica, read from his new bilingual book Arts for Diversity. Art activities were inspired by artists María Berrío and Andrea Chung. The Museum of Life and Science joined us with StarLab to view the night sky—and insects to study up close. Piedmont Wildlife Center brought several animals. Everyone enjoyed free cotton candy by Wonderpuff. And temporary tattoos were inspired by the natural world.
